Helix: Limited Edition Box Set by Nathan Farrugia

I had fun reading this series. Definitely full of excitement with a lot of action. You get insight on the characters, details on weapons usage, and how they operate as a team. I cannot wait to get my hands on the rest of the series. The only downside was that I read this too fast. I was so into the book I didn't realize I was done until I actually got to the end.

Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride! Happy reading!

A spy hunter. A rogue operative.

A secret war that could destroy them both.

Olesya is just an ordinary girl from post-Soviet Russia, but that changes when the clandestine Fifth Column discover her rare genetic anomaly. Taken from her home and ensnared in a special training program, Olesya is destined to become a black operative, or die trying. But when a splinter faction of the Fifth Column sabotages the program, she escapes.
Almost a decade later, Olesya leads a team of hunters on a dangerous assignment. Her targets are black operatives: elusive, genetically enhanced, and unstoppable. From the bio-clinics of Brazil to the icy borderlands of Kaliningrad, from the catacombs of Lithuania to the citadel of occupied Prague, Olesya is at the heart of a war against a powerful, malevolent organization that wants total control.
But as operatives and hunters start to vanish, Olesya discovers they aren’t the only players in this deadly game…
This is the first adrenaline-charged episode in the Helix technothriller series by ex Australian recon soldier Nathan M. Farrugia. If you like conspiracy, espionage and edge-of-your-seat suspense, then you’ll love this thrilling cross between Jason Bourne and Dark Angel.

Call of the Dragon (Return to Avalore Book 1) by Elianne Adams

Rhia is trying to stay alive while being hunted. She's independent and brave with a touch of crybaby tendencies. Luckily she doesn't dwell on things too long, and get's over whatever emotional hurdle is thrown her way.
Drake is in search of the queen. He's overprotective and loyal with just enough Alpha he doesn't make you want to claw his eyes out.
I enjoyed reading this. It had the right amount of action to go along with the romance. I love that it has dragons as well as other fairy tale creatures in it. I won't tell you what they are, you have to read the book to find out.

Rhia Atkinson is a woman on the run. The same vicious creatures that killed her mother four years ago are still on the hunt, and she’s the prey. She thought she’d come to terms with her solitary existence until Drake comes along, reigniting her dreams of family and belonging. His tall tales of a missing queen and the looming extinction of a race of people she never knew existed has her agreeing to go on a journey to Avalore. Traditions as old as time stand in her way as she tries to convince Drake that he’s her choice for a mate. With the enemy breathing down her neck, all she has to do is figure out a way to make it work before she ends up joined to some stranger, or worse, dead.
Drake Sperwell has spent years searching for one woman, the Queen of Avalore. Time is running out. With the survival of their entire species hanging in the balance, failure is not an option. When he finds her deep in battle in New York City, all his prayers are answered. What he didn’t count on was his reaction to the woman, or his dragon’s need to claim her as its mate. Denying their chemistry might just kill him, but she’s off limits. Her destiny lies with her true mate in Avalore.
